News, Nov 6, 2015 50th anniversary meeting,

Marc Baldus and Rolf Boelens hosted the 50th anniversary meeting of the Dutch NMR Discussion Group on Friday November 6, 2015, in Utrecht. The anniversary program started with the history of magnetic resonance in The Netherlands by Rob Kaptein. This was followed by lectures by international speakers, Ad Bax, Clare Grey, Christian Griesinger, Axel Haase and Beat Meier and four PhD candidates, Nan Eshuis, Daan de Kort, Mohammed Kaplan and Jules Nellissen. Posters awards were for Koen Tijssen (1st), Ivan Corbeski (2nd) and Dieuwertje Augustijn (3rd). The meeting ended with a reception and a festive buffet in the evening. The anniversary meeting was made possible through generous support by uNMR-NL, Utrecht University, Bruker, Jeol, Anaspec, Buchem, CortecNet, Eurisotop, MR Solutions, Praxair and ACD/Labs.

 

The 50th anniversary day followed the official opening of the uNMR-NL facility in Utrecht on November 5 by State secretary Sander Dekker.
